Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
My employer decided to get rid of me 6 weeks during the summer of 06', thus they shipped me off to Sydney, Australia.  It is a beautiful city, and I have covered my stay in some blog entries.  However, there are quite a few pictures that I have not posted. First of all, one of the biggest rip-offs in Sydney is the Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb.  I did the night climb, which cost $189 AUD, and that is a high price for what is essentially a hyped up experience.  While you are told to wear lots of safety equipment, there is virtually no danger of anything going wrong.  Apparently, similar views can be had for much cheaper from other places.

While in Sydney, I stayed in Kings Kross, which is a densely populated and somewhat sketchy area of Sydney.  By the El Alamein Fountain, which was built to remember Australian efforts during the second World War, I found this sign which shows how far away Sydney really is. Another picture of the same sign.  If Sydney were a little bit more centrally located, I would move there in a second.

This is from my visit to Manly Beach, which I covered in a previous blog entry. Jenny invited me to one of her friend's birthday parties, which I was more than happy to join.

Jenny and her husband, Vincent, who really helped make my stay in Sydney very enjoyable. Bondi Beach, which also was covered in a previous blog entry.
