Blyde River Canyon is 26 kilometers in length and is, on average, around 800m deep. It consists mostly of red sandstone.

While the Grand Canyon and the Fish River Canyon are larger, the Blyde River Canyon is undoubtedly the largest "green canyon" due to its subtropical foliage. Since the Blyde River Canyon is known as one of the great wonders of nature on the continent, I am surprised that I had not heard about it before visiting (surprised at my own ignorance, I guess).
