Cape Town is the second most populous city in South Africa after Johannesburg, and is the legislative capital of South Africa. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront offers splendid view of the Table Mountain, and there are plenty of restaurants that offer satisfaction for the stomach. Here we are eating at a restaurant called "The Greek Fisherman".

The Cape of Good Hope is not the southern tip of Africa, but it marks the psychologically important point where one begins to travel more eastward than southward. The Cape of Good Hope is the legendary home of The Flying Dutchman, but Yuka and I did not see it while there. We are always unlucky.

Today, the Cape of Good Hope is home to at least 250 species of birds and a wide range of animals. Luckily, the cape is protected as it is part of the Table Mountain National Park.
