The obligatory picture to prove that we've been here. I suspect that we are not the first tourists to take a picture behind this sign. Yuka and I visited The Cape of Good Hope as part of an organized tour from Cape Town, which also took us to Simon's Town and Hout Bay.

Yuka with a view of Cape Point in the background, which is a promontory (prominent mass of land) at the south-east corner of the Cape Peninsula. The southern tip of the African continent is actually Cape Agulhas, which is located approximately 4 hours from Cape Town by car. Due to our tight schedule, unfortunately we did not have time to travel there to have our picture taken.

Back in Cape Town, we came across the Norwegian ship "Fridtjof Nansen", which seems to be involved in research work in Antartica. Another picture of the vessel "Fridtjof Nansen".
